Spanning an impressive 430 square meters, Sunrise to Sunset completely revitalizes the public basketball court at Jan Breydelplein in Sint-Niklaas. Transforming a dull, weathered concrete surface into a massive horizontal color injection, Lindert Steegen turned an overlooked urban utility space into a vibrant architectural landmark.
The hypecourt breathes new life into the neighborhood, serving as an energetic gathering space for local youth, athletes, and residents. It highlights how large-scale floor art can radically redefine public zones, turning an ordinary sports court into an open-air canvas of connection and play.
