Lindert Steegen (born in Bilzen, 1997) is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist and designer who lives and works in Brussels. His work is characterized by a continuous and vibrant interplay between the abstract and the figurative. Through a distinct and thoughtful color palette, he creates a balance where sharp lines, graphic forms, and recognizable elements intersect.
His artistic vision is deeply informed by his background in architecture and graphic design, resulting in a strong sense of spatial awareness, proportions, and composition. Furthermore, influences from street culture, such as graffiti, and modern digital tools like 3D design play a key role in the creation of his layered compositions.
At the core of his practice is the development of a strong, distinctive artistic identity. This visual identity seamlessly translates across a wide range of media and surfaces. The versatility of his work is reflected in a variety of projects: from a large-scale mural for The Crystal Ship in Ostend, to designing four chairs for ABN AMRO, and collaborating with Niketo design the pre-match warm-up shirts for KRC Genk. Alongside these collaborations and public works, he focuses on canvases, three-dimensional wall sculptures, and objects.
Lindert Steegen currently works from his studio in the creative hub LaVallée in Molenbeek, Brussels, where he continues to refine his visual language and experiment with new materials, spatial forms, and color combinations.
Lindert Steegen is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer whose bold visual language draws on a playful collision of graphic design, architecture, and street culture to convey new narratives through contemporary design.
