Van stroom tot streetart

Location: Nieuwland, 9000 Ghent, Belgium

Client/Partner: Industriemuseum Ghent & Cultuur Gent

For the Van stroom tot streetart initiative, I transformed an electricity box located on Nieuwland street in Ghent into a vibrant public art piece. Organized by the Industriemuseum and Cultuur Gent, this project invited artists to reimagine gray utility cabinets throughout the museum's historic neighborhood—a area deeply tied to Ghent's industrial heritage and early power generation.

My design draws inspiration from the museum’s rich collection, blending themes of energy, historical advertising, and industrial movement with my signature modern geometric visual style and bold color palettes. Placed directly in the urban landscape, the artwork bridges the city's industrial past with contemporary visual culture, encouraging passersby to experience the neighborhood's history from a fresh perspective.
